Ah September! The income report looks bleak with no book sales, but I had a huge boost in stock photo sales! This was the biggest amount of sales to date (21 photos – slow and steady). The top stock photo sale was once again the blueberry muffin platter.
Really interesting. That said, I had an even more surprising sale this month. Another ENHANCED LICENSE! This time someone spent $100 on a photo I took of Jellyfish at the Aquarium.
Isn’t that interesting? I got $28 commission off of this sale. One always has to wonder what it will be used for when they make an enhanced license sale. I took this photo in very low lighting. The beauty of the Canon 5d Mark ii is that it excels in low light. I did have to use Adobe Lightroom to clean up some of the grain (using the Luminence slider to smooth the photo out) in order for the jellyfish photo to be accepted into the stock agency. I also needed a fast enough shutter speed to capture the jellyfish so that they were not blurry. Overall I am so happy that I got this sale!
